Fire System Maintenance & Security System Maintenance…
Planned & Reactive 24/7

service & maintenance imageAll fire and security systems technologies incorporate components that require periodic inspection and planned maintenance to keep them operating properly and, particularly in fire systems circumstances, legally. Choice has the breadth of engineering and account management expertise across all systems’ technologies, and major brands, to design and deliver planned maintenance schedules and reactive call-out response to unforeseen system issues. We can demonstrate a portfolio of customers benefiting from service solutions ranging from multiple-site to complex and simple single-site requirements.

Choice maintains and supports third-party installations

Choice service vehicleChoice not only supports its own systems 24/7. It also increasingly takes on service and maintenance responsibilities for third-party-installed fire and security systems, when end-users seek new support partners because their existing service contractor may prove to be unsatisfactory in cost-effectiveness or reliability terms, or may have ceased trading.

Fire systems maintenance – a legal imperative

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 imposes legal requirements on the Responsible Person(s) at a site to provide and maintain appropriate fire protection. Unfortunately, particularly through the recession since 2008, recent years have seen increasing lapses of responsibility and, as a consequence, increasing prosecutions (as a web search for ‘UK fire law prosecutions’ or a browse of the UK’s Chief Fire Officers’ Association Enforcement Register will reveal). Choice can advise and directly assist in this respect. Useful, independent guidance for any Responsible Person is available from the Fire Industry Association.

Remote maintenance technologies reduce Security engineer visits – and costs

Remote security maintenance from ChoiceAn increasing amount of security system inspection, adjustment and reconfiguration can be done using remote monitoring software, which reduces – but does not eliminate – the need and cost of sending an engineer to a site. Choice has significant, broad experience in this approach. Contact us to find out more.

Costing your contract – Talk is free!

Despite some industry attempts, Choice does not believe there is a one-, two-, or even three-tier, easy formula for delivery of a fire and security service and maintenance contracts. Every customer service solution is different. The nature of risks, the type and age of the existing systems and service level requirements make each case unique.
