Systems can screen employees, students, passengers, visitors…
Thermographic CCTV cameras that can read multiple people’s surface skin temperature in a second to within ±0.3°C accuracy have been harnessed within a simple, rapidly deployed system. This can mass-scan people entering a premises and so provide preliminary detection of those who may be unwell. The benefits for screening of employees, students, passengers, visitors etc in the present circumstances brought about by the coronavirus pandemic are clear.
The technology is a product from the leading, global CCTV specialist Hikvision (see product webpage) with whom Choice is a value added systems partner.
CCTV + AI
Each system combines one of a range of thermographic cameras with AI (Artificial Intelligence) which delivers facial recognition and disregards other false alarm heat sources (such as a hand-held coffee carton) to provide an accurate, non-contact screening process that delivers instant alarm results to operators via hand-held device or a laptop/PC.
Intended mainly for location in entrance foyers or reception areas, the only two specific set-up conditions for a system are that: (a) the camera should be placed in a windless indoor environment and (b) a specific temperature measurement zone should be created.
Hand-held, rapid deployment systems and fixed, mounted camera options are available
- One second to detect skin-surface temperature of a person
- Multi-person detection simultaneously
- Non-contact measurement to avoid physical contact
- Immediate alarm to notify operators
- AI detection to reduce false alarms from other heat sources
